It’s the million dollar question — Can you wear white after Labor Day? While I would certainly not call myself a fashion expert, I can offer you a bit of advice. This is my rule — if it still feels like summer … if it is still warm outside, the sun is still shining, then of course wear your summer whites. When the air turns chillier is when it gets a bit more complicated. No more light and airy fabrics. I think you can certainly still wear white, you just have to be careful of the textures. As it gets cooler pair you white jeans with a long cardigan (like the one I am wearing) or a jean jacket and some ankle boots. Perhaps a pair of cream white corduroys or a nice white, wool blazer, like this one. Just be sure to steer clear of summer fabrics, like chiffon, linen and rayon.
