Three Skirts for Spring

If you read my post about my spring 10×10 challenge then you know that I discovered a few holes in my spring wardrobe, areas that could certainly use improving. One of those was my skirt collection. All of my skirts, at least for the most part are old + no longer my style and I have been holding on to them for really no reason at all. So that challenge revealed to me that I need to do a little purging, particularly of my warmer weather clothes and start fresh.

Well folks, I didn’t hesitate to start restructuring my spring closet. (I mean shopping is one of my most favorite pastimes.) So, I went looking and found myself three new skirts for spring and I wanted to share them with you.

I find that I am much more comfortable in a longer length skirt, so I found a couple of midi skirts and a maxi skirt. The lengths I think are flattering on every body and they are all reasonably priced too. One of them I found at Target (I bet you can’t guess which one!).

I feel like this skirt spoke to me as I walked through the aisles at Target. I just couldn’t believe THIS SKIRT was there. The color + dot pattern is just like my pants that I got from Madewell (and soooo much cheaper). It has buttons down the side, with a little slit (I left two buttons undone).

This one is my Madewell find. I love that this skirt also has buttons, which are really meant to be worn front + center, but I like wearing them to the side for a little more movement.

I am going to call this one my SUMMER skirt – the colors just scream summer, don’t they? I know I stick with neutrals the majority of the time, but red is hard for me to turn down. I have actually been looking for a floral, red skirt since last summer and this one was only $29 from H&M!

I ordered a 4, which is my typical size in skirts that aren’t form fitting and it fits great! It’s higher on the waist which I like and it didn’t hug my hips very much. I have a small waist but bigger hips, so this skirt worked out in my favor. Hope that helps!
