I love my denim jacket. I am a basics girl and I do tend to stick with classic pieces, but seriously a denim jacket is the perfect layering staple – perfect for transitioning into fall as the summer nights get cooler. You may be thinking about yourself as a kid wearing a denim jacket, but you need one as an adult too. The denim jacket has had a ressurgence and you need to get on board, trust me. As the temperatures start to fall, layer a denim jacket over your flannel at night or during the day over a flirty dress. The possibilities are endless, and it’s a year round piece which means there are so many outfits to be had.
The jacket that I’m wearing is by far my favorite and it’s currently on sale! I have two from J Crew but I love this lighter color the best. My other one is a darker wash, which limits it’s versatility a bit. But I still love it nonetheless. I am also totally digging this tote that I got from Nordstrom. I can see me having this on repeat. And you all know my obsession with fall booties. These that I am wearing are actually a few years old from Lucky Brand but I have plenty of current favorites.
Adding patches to your denim seems to be the “of the moment thing to do”. A bit nostalgic, but I think I’m just going to stick with the classic style. If trends are your thing, I’ve linked a few options that may transport you straight back to the 90’s.
