Pattern Mixing

I love to pattern mix. Plaid and stripes, different plaid patterns — but my absolute favorite to mix is leopard print and stripes. I have been patiently waiting to do an outfit post like this simply because I had yet to find that perfect leopard scarf. I have been on the lookout for quite sometime and I finally found this one from Asos, which I love. It is large like a blanket scarf and the print and color are just right so I had to have it.

I had also been looking for a new pair of suede booties and I found this pair from Vince Camuto. They are a lot like this pair that sold out earlier in August during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale — I swear every blogger has them. But I am really liking the ones that I found. They were a bit narrow and I had to size up but I love them nonetheless. They also come in several other colors which means I may have to get another pair.

Don’t be afraid to pattern mix. To make sure you aren’t clashing try to stick within the same color wheel and be sure to let one pattern dominate and let the other accent your outfit. One of the easiest ways to add a little pattern to your outfit would be to tie a plaid shirt or a striped sweater around your waist — so easy!

Hope you all have a great week!
