I love snow and winter and all of the textures our winter wardrobe brings, like cordoroy and puffy, fluffy vests. I found this corduroy skirt back in fall and fell in love with it. (It’s on super sale now!) The color of the skirt was what made me have to have it. Lets be honest though, I have been obsessing with colors in the rust, amber family for quite sometime now.
I thought pairing this skirt with black elements would make for a chic outfit. Originally, I had simply paired it with my fitted black turtle neck, which was good and all, but it seemed to be missing something. I was rummaging through my closet and I fumbled upon my herringbone vest. I threw that on over my turtleneck and voila! one of my most favorite outfits was born. I added my new OTK boots that I got for Christmas to complete it. I have been wanting a pair of black OTK boots for a long time and I like this pair a lot. I certainly won’t be getting the Stuart Weitzman pair everyone lusts over anytime soon but these were from DSW and at a really good price. They’ll do me just fine 🙂
I really am in love with this outfit combination. I hope you all like it and can draw inspiration from it for some of your future outfits!
